Riding on a Cloud of Coconut Nirvana
I adore coconut. I adore chocolate. I adore dairy-free ice cream. Who would have dreamed that I could have it all in one spoonful? Well, dreams do come true, because Turtle Mountain has just expanded its line of Purely Decadent ice cream with five new flavors made from organic coconut milk! They're all dairy-free and gluten-free, sweetened with agave, and even lower in calories than the soy-based Purely Decadent flavors. And in terms of grams per serving, they're not any higher in fat, even though they're made with coconut milk!

Coconut ice cream review: it's a tough job, but someboday's got to do it
Creamy. Rich. Decadent. These words seem way too wimpy to describe the devilishly toothsome texture of Turtle Mountain's new coconut-based ice cream line. Other words come to mind. Words like ecstasy. Orgasmic. Sinful. Rapturous. Eating this viscous frozen indulgence makes me feel as if I should head straight to confession–and I haven't been to confession since 6th grade. This vegan product truly lives up to its "Purely Decadent" label. Coconut fans will appreciate the delicate coconut essence that's present in most flavors as a pleasant back note.

Coconut Milk Yogurt and Ice Cream
With everybody suddenly becoming allergic to everything, all kinds of new food alternatives are popping up. The latest we've sampled is a line of organic coconut milk-based "ice creams" and "yogurts" from Turtle Mountain. The same makers behind So Delicious and Purely Decadent, Turtle Mountain has already made a name for themselves in the world of non dairy treats. Technically called cultured coconut milks (yogurts) and coconut milk non-dairy frozen desserts (ice creams), they're not only dairy free but are also soy free (for those wary of estrogen overload) and fingers crossed there aren't too many people with coconut allergies.

Recommendation Emergency
If you love Mint Chocolate Chip, especially the natural mint kind (i.e. not day-glo green), you’ll just go nuts. Having coconut milk as its base makes it bright, white, thick, creamy, and smooth with just the right amount of coconut flavor. It’s there, you can taste it, but the chocolate and the mint have plenty of room to shine. It’s almost like the coconut is hanging out backstage. Blended flavors. That’s what it is. They’re blended perfectly, absolutely perfectly, together.

"Purely Decadent made with Coconut Milk Frozen Dessert (Vegan, Gluten-Free, Soy-Free)
Several years ago, when I experienced my first soy-based ice cream (from Turtle Mountain in fact) I wondered why soy in particular was used. Donít get me wrong; it was love at first bite. Yet, with all of the soy controversy floating around, since some people are allergic or intolerant to soy, and since that little bean really isnít very high in fat, I wondered why they didnít use coconut milk instead of soymilk. I have always been a fan of coconut; its creamy capabilities rival if not top milk in my personal opinion. But, with little imagination and no ice cream maker at my disposal, I would have to wait a few years for someone else to give it a shot Ö
Well, the time finally arrived last year Ö in the form of Coconut Bliss. I was excited by its arrival, but still could not access a taste Ö their distribution was limited and did not include my state. But now, at long last, the company that makes dairy-free living so easy has arrived on the scene with a coconut milk-based ice cream ready to be shipped to stores nationally! Thatís right; Turtle Mountain has created their new line (be prepared, this is a mouthful in itself) Ö Purely Decadent made with Coconut Milk Organic Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert. And I must say, I am impressed."

CocoNUTS!
My new favorite dairy-free ice cream is Turtle Mountain's Purely Decadent made with coconut milk. It is so delish I actually decided to have a sundae for dinner last night. , The texture was creamier than soy or rice based frozen desserts. It tasted (well, what I remember tasting) like real ice cream. They make several flavors, I prefer the straight up Coconut Milk coconut. The chocolate coconut is good but it wasn't as creamy, plus it was missing the coconut flakes that I enjoyed in the original"

"Purely Decadent's new coconut milk frozen dessert is filling up girlawhirl's freezer
Especially when the weather's warm, Girlawhirl needs some sort of a cool treat at the end of a long hot day. All too often she turns to ice cream or frozen yogurt, but as she's learned from her nutritional consultant Melissa Spiesman, both have drawbacks: the amount of fat in the ice cream and the sugar in both…
But this summer, there's a new sweet treat that Girlawhirl can't stop indulging in. It's a different kind of non-dairy ice cream from Purely Decadent® made with coconut milk and sweetened with agave nectar."

"Coconut Milk Ice Cream = Heaven
Years ago, after having my third child, I suddenly developed an intolerance to lactose. Eating regular ice cream makes me very sick, so I had to sit and watch others enjoy my favorite food. Then, I discovered lactose-free ice creams such as Purely Decadent by Turtle Mountain(my favorite). I can't begin to describe how happy I was to eat ice cream again! Now, Purely Decadent has created Coconut Milk Ice Cream that comes in five flavors: Vanilla Bean, Chocolate, Cookie Dough, Mint Chocolate Chip and Coconut."

"Ice Cream Anyone?
I recently had the opportunity to try a new line of premium ice creams from Purely Decadent that are hitting the market, and boy are they good! The ice creams are non-dairy, rich, creamy and delicious, yet aren't total diet busters. The base of the ice cream is coconut milk, which gives you a wonderfully silky texture and clean taste."
